Gold Elephant is an exquisite restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a cold towel and a friendly welcome. The menu is written in German, English and Thai, offering a great selection of mainly Thai food, as well as some adventurous dishes and European options. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The mango and sticky rice is a must-try, and the Phad is a popular choice. The restaurant is popular, but guests are not kept waiting long to be seated. The manager/owner is also known to personally welcome guests. The restaurant is a little more expensive than other Thai tourist places, but it is worth it for the quality of the food, presentation and atmosphere.
