Yokoso Izakaya Moonee Ponds

Yokoso Izakaya Moonee Ponds is a small Japanese restaurant with a quirky, mismatched decor and friendly staff. It is quite popular and often busy, but the service is speedy and attentive. The food is delicious, with highlights including the Teriyaki Chicken, Salmon Steak, Banana Tempura with ice cream, Wagyu Udon, Chicken Curry, and Salmon Steak. The Okonomiyaki and Tempura are of particular note, with the latter having an excellent batter and clean oil used. The Crispy Wagyu Balls are also a must-try. The restaurant is great for dietary requirements, with the staff being accommodating and friendly. Prices for some of the entrees may be a bit high, but the mains are definitely worth it.
